Fortran Start Page (2000-2010) Fortran (Formula Transformation) is a high-level programming language founded in 1957 to help scientists, engineers and mathematicians. This website Fortran Start Page was consulted very often all over the world, partly by many universities. E.g it was found on a course page at the University of California, Irvine, where it was even recommended as a valuable source for Fortran-related information. Before the world wide internet, people used Simtel († 2013) to communicate via the well-known Fortran User's Group. The Fortran Start Page has been kept in Jan's Webarchive.
